Nikshay – Privacy Policy
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India (MoHFW), has developed the Ni-kshay application to support the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP). This service is provided by MoHFW at no cost and is intended for use “as is”.
This Privacy Policy is intended to inform users about our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information while using the Ni-kshay Service. By using this Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
The personal information collected is used solely to improve and deliver the Service and will not be shared with any third party except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in the Terms and Conditions available within the Ni-kshay application, unless otherwise defined.

- Health information (e.g., TB diagnosis, treatment progress, prescriptions, test results)
- Healthcare provider and facility details
- Location information for treatment center mapping

This information is collected to enable effective monitoring, reporting, and delivery of healthcare services under NTEP. Data is retained by CTD, MoHFW and used strictly in accordance with the objectives outlined in this policy.
The application may use third-party services that may collect information used to identify users (e.g., Google Play Services, Firebase Analytics).
Log Data
In case of application errors, we collect log data through third-party tools. This may include IP address, device name, operating system version, app configuration, date and time of use, and other diagnostic data used for service improvement.
Cookies
Cookies are small data files used as anonymous identifiers. While the Ni-kshay application does not explicitly use cookies, some integrated third-party services may do so to enhance user experience and analytics.
Users may choose to accept or refuse cookies. Refusal may result in limited functionality of certain features.
